4th Annual West Allis
Ala Carte
Sunday, June 5, 2011
12noon – 6pm
Greenfield Avenue from 70th
to 76th Streets

What is West
Allis Ala Carte?
·
West
Allis Ala Carte is a street festival that occurs the first Sunday in June.
·
A
venue to unite schools, churches, civic organizations, community artists,
youth programs, businesses and the City of West Allis with the community and
each other.
·
A day
filled with activities geared towards bringing every member of the family
from toddler to teenager to Mom & Dad to grandparents even
great-grandparents together for fun and games.
Why Downtown
West Allis?
·
The
Downtown West Allis Business Improvement District (DWABID), located on
Greenfield Avenue between 70th & 76th streets, is the heart of West Allis.
·
The
merchants of DWABID took it upon themselves to create a central location for
area organizations and businesses to showcase themselves while demonstrating
all the things West Allis has to offer to the neighborhoods and surrounding
communities.
Who attends
West Allis Ala Carte?
·
Last
year this event attracted over 4,000 visitors to Downtown West Allis.
·
The
feedback from businesses that participated and those who attended considered
this event a total, community family-friendly atmosphere.
·
West
Allis Ala Carte is designed for people of all ages: children, adults and
seniors who work together to create and present a quality family event.
Where does the
West Allis Ala Carte take place?
·
For this event, the City of West Allis has granted us permission to close
Greenfield Avenue, between 70th & 76th Streets, and adjacent side streets,
to traffic.
·
Having Greenfield Avenue closed to traffic allows for a street festival
atmosphere and at the same time allows for the safety of our vendors and
visitors.
